Hockey, the mystique, and Rich Yessian

Is there any question that there is a unique mystique to the mustache? Of course not - that's why there is a Web site and organization like the American Mustache Institute. It's also why this week the fine Website YesButNoButYes.com has a great piece on said mystique that you can see here. Its only shortfall, of course, is that it does not reference AMI for bringing back the flavor to savor in the flavor savor....if that makes any sense at all.

This week also brings us back to the L.A. Kings hockey franchise. Former King George Parros received a huge number of write-in votes for our "Greatest Sports Mustache" contest, won last year by Keith Hernandez, and he is also an option for our current Mount 'Stachemore voting. More importantly, however, is that the Kings' Website has an interesting feature on the relationship between the mustache and the team that you can read here.  We recommend checking it out.

And then there is Rich Yessian, good friend to AMI. He started this interesting Web site about the progress of his facial hair. Quality stuff indeed, and thank goodness there is not chin coverage to be found. RY's blog, which you can read here, gives a bit more background on his lunacy. Good for him.

Carry on.
