Finalists Announced for 2009 "Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of The Year"

Voting opens with first female finalist, winner to be named at 'Stache Bash 2009 featuring John Oates

Oct. 5, 2009 (St. Louis) - The American Mustache Institute (AMI) today announced finalists and opened voting for the "Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year" award presented by Quicken®. The award, recognizing the person either best representing or contributing to the Mustached American community over the past year, will be announced in St. Louis on Oct. 30 at 'Stache Bash 2009 featuring John Oates, a benefit for Challenger Baseball.

A broad cross-section of finalists - including the first female nominee - was selected by AMI's certified mustacheologists from a pool of nearly 100 nominees.

Rock & Roll Legend John Oates To Play 'Stache Bash 2009

Oates to Reunite with His Mustache as Headliner of Fourth Year of Annual Charitable Event, Presented by Quicken Online, Which Benefits Baseball League For Disabled

Sept. 17, 2009 (St. Louis) - John Oates, one of the most famous mustached rock 'n soul performers in music history, will reunite with his mustache as headliner of the American Mustache Institute's 'Stache Bash 2009, presented by Quicken Online.

The show will be the first appearance of Oates and his mustache since the two parted ways, reportedly in Tokyo in 1990. His mustache has since gone on to star in the new animated series "J-Stache," while Oates has continued to tour the world.
